Technical Services Engineer

Navigate IT are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic IT support technician to join the technical team based just outside of Chester.

We have built up a fantastic reputation providing support and solutions to businesses mainly in the local area, so it would be a great time to join us.

Role will include the following responsibilities:

  • A mixture of office based Telephone and remote support.
  • Maintaining, diagnosing, resolving technical hardware and software issues
  • Installation of hardware and software
  • Some on-site and project work.
  • 1st to 3rd line support and involvement on interesting and demanding projects.

The ideal IT Field Engineer will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Experienced with 1st, 2nd & 3rd line support.
  • A good standard of education and Microsoft certification
  • A can-do attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail, documentation skills and ensuring jobs are finished before closure.
  • Live local to Chester.
  • A full, clean Driving Licence

Knowledge of the following is essential:

  • Windows desktop platforms.
  • Windows server environments (2008 onwards) inc AD, DNS, RDS, SQL, Exchange.
  • Hyper-V, Vmware technology.
  • Routers, firewalls, wireless, Printers etc.
  • Cloud based products Inc Office 365, Azure, Amazon.
  • Backup products including Backup Exec, Veeam.
  • Sage and other 3rd party line of business apps.
  • Experience with Remote support and call management software working with a ticket based system.

Salary:

20 - 22k negotiable with car allowance, other benefits for the right candidate.
